REVIEW BY TOM WORFOLK
Simon Pegg's career has gone from strength to strength since Spaced. Paul was a fanboy classic and he is even a permenant member of the Enterprise crew. He manages to keep fans following his every move with the promise of the ever ellusive third installment of the blood and ice cream trilogy. And I have to say I am one of them - I will see every film he does as I think they are great.
A Fantastic Fear of Everything however snuck out of nowhere. I hadn't seen a trailer nor had I heard about it so when I had the chance to see it I jumped.
It's a good film about a paranoid kids fiction author come adult crime screen-writer (Simon Pegg) and the whole film really revolves around how he blows things out of proportion in his mind.

It's hard to classify this film, could it be comedy or horror?? It has elements of both but not enough of one or the other to fit into either category. Don't get me wrong, the comedy is laugh out loud at moments and the horror, well, there is nothing really scary about it, but it's there...
The style of the film is very different to anything I have seen and it's really difficult to explain what is different but it just is. I'm sure it'll be a love it or hate it style but I kinda fell for it. The style alone saved the film from what could have been quite dull.
To sum up then, I would recommend this film to everyone but if it's action packed super hero adventures you are really into then perhaps you won't enjoy it but give it a try anyway.
